The other session also focuses on customer feedback from migrating to AWS, so we’ll hear what it’s like from companies that have done it! DAT417 | Amazon Keyspaces migration best practices with Monzo 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM (PST) @ MGM Grand | Level 1 | 101 In this chalk talk, learn how Monzo, a leading digital bank in the UK that is revolutionising banking, migrated the datastore that powers the bank (including their account systems and core banking ledger) from self-hosted Cassandra clusters to Amazon Keyspaces ENT215 | Completing a large-scale migration and modernization with AWS 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (PST) @ Venetian | Level 2 | Summit Showroom This session focuses on valuable lessons learned from the thousands of enterprises who have migrated and modernised their on-premises workloads with AWS. Dive deep on technical lessons learned, mental models used, how to set up teams to modernise as they migrate, and how to engage with AWS Professional Services and AWS Partners for success AUT205 | Migration with zero downtime: Toyota Drivelink Safety Connect Platform 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM (PST) @ Wynn | Upper Level | Bollinger This session explores how Toyota migrated its core infrastructure and services to AWS using AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Direct Connect, and other services. Hear how the migration was completed with zero downtime and no impact to Toyota and Lexus customers. ## Tuesday We’ll begin Tuesday with the Keynote at the Venetian, which is always one not to miss. If you don’t fancy it, maybe head over to the Exhibition centre to see what vendors have on offer this year! Immediately after the keynote, a session on how a customer migrated 80 thousand databases to AWS is going to be full of valuable lessons, followed by a talk on .NET dependencies during migration to wrap up the day. Adam Selipsky Keynote 8.30am - 10.30am @ Venetian | Level 2 | Venetian Ballroom F Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon Web Services, shares his perspective on cloud transformation. He highlights innovations in data, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence and machine learning that are helping AWS customers achieve their goals faster, mine untapped potential, and create a better future. ENT219 | Migrating 80K SQL Server databases to AWS: A strategic ISV journey 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (PST) @ MGM Grand | Level 3 | Chairmans 370 In 2022, a leading brand for integrated travel, expense, and invoice management migrated over 80 thousand SQL Server databases to AWS. In this session, explore their database migration journey and why they picked AWS. XNT309 | Managing .NET dependencies: Strategies for migration and modernization 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM (PST) @ Wynn | Level 1 | Latour 5 Explore effective approaches for managing .NET dependencies during the migration and modernization of .NET workloads. ## Wednesday We have a full day of sessions planned for multi-cloud and data migrations today. The first session talks about best practices for multi-cloud migrations, the second about migrating data to AWS, and the third is an opportunity to get hands-on with it! ENT217 | Strategies for navigating multicloud decisions and difficulties 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM (PST) @ Wynn | Level 1 | Lafite 4 In this session, the AWS Enterprise Strategy team shares unique insights and prescriptive guidance for navigating multicloud decisions and difficulties gleaned from thousands of engagements with leading organisations and extensive research into how multicloud impacts cloud adoption and transformation. STG206 | Best practices for moving data to AWS using online and offline methods 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (PST) @ MGM Grand | Level 1 | Grand 120 In this session, learn how you can use AWS DataSync and AWS Snow Family to accelerate your process for moving data to Amazon S3, Amazon EFS, and Amazon FSx at scale. STG353-R1 | Multicloud and on-premises data transfers at scale with AWS DataSync 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (PST) @ MGM Grand | Level 3 | 350 Join this builders’ session to immerse yourself in the world of multi-cloud and on-premises data transfers. Learn how to configure and perform a data transfer from an on-premises NFS server and a publicly accessible Google Cloud Storage bucket that is hosting a public dataset to Amazon S3. ## Thursday Werner Vogels’ keynote kicks off our Thursday, which is one not to miss.  We’ll watch this in an overflow room at the MGM, so that we can head straight to the next session on AWS Application Migration Service. To wrap up the week of talks, we’ll finish with a 2-hour hands-on migration workshop, putting all the theory into practice. Finally, there’s only one way to wrap up re:Invent week, which is at the AWS re:play party! KEY005 | Dr. Werner Vogels Keynote 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM (PST) @ Venetian | Level 2 | Venetian Ballroom F This keynote covers best practices for designing resilient and cost-aware architectures. Werner also discusses why artificial intelligence is something every builder must consider when developing systems and the impact this will have in our world. ENT303 | Move and improve at scale using AWS Application Migration Service 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (PST) @ MGM Grand | Level 3 | Premier 315 Are you looking to migrate and optimise your workloads? AWS announced new features for AWS Application Migration Service to help organisations migrate and modernise at scale. ENT306-R1 | Migrate, optimize, and modernize a Microsoft application in 2 hours 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (PST) @ MGM Grand | Level 3 | Premier 312 A fictitious charity organisation is looking to make life better for all and is ready to modernise its Microsoft-based web application. They want to eliminate licensing costs, reduce the burden on their builders, and reach out to more people in need. In this workshop, you are a builder for this charity organisation. Learn how to migrate from traditional servers to modern cloud-based technologies and optimise to increase availability while reducing monthly spend.
