In Episode 22 of the Daemon Drumbeat podcast, Kyle, Daemon’s Chief Growth Officer, sits down with [Karim](https://www.linkedin.com/in/karimallaouat/), [Sihle](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sihlemabaleka/), and [Dale](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dale-hough/) from our newly launched AI-First Squad to unpack what it really means to work in an AI-driven world.

The conversation kicks off with the changing balance between organisational and individual benefits, how AI gives people unprecedented agency and why that raises new questions about productivity, incentives, and collaboration. From there, the team dives into the reality of problem-solving: that the hardest part isn’t writing code, but thinking through the challenge, and how AI is beginning to shift where time and energy are spent.

Listeners will also hear a fresh take on coding itself. If “English is the new programming language,” what new possibilities does that open up, and what constraints does it introduce? The squad considers where AI brings the biggest wins, from code generation to the full development lifecycle, and reflects on the surprises they’ve encountered as they’ve begun working with these tools day-to-day.

For anyone curious about how AI is redefining not just how we code, but how we think, collaborate, and build, this episode is not to be missed.
