What to Expect

As a member of the Daemon DevOps practice, you’ll be working on an exciting, challenging and rewarding project in a friendly, high performing team for a famous brand. You’ll develop personally and professionally, and you can do so knowing you’ll have some of the smartest consultants around to help deliver on the project.

What we need

We are looking for a DevOps Consultant with a minimum of 4 years experience working on large scale cloud migration projects (AWS). Someone who has experience of being the technical authority on a project and is comfortable leading a small team.

About you

You’re an excellent oral and written communicator able to adapt to working with senior and junior colleagues alike as well as engaging with C-level stakeholders at clients. You have a strong ability to transform technical requirements into DevOps processes and hold at least one AWS certification.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:

  • Take requirements from clients and deploy and configure AWS resources.
  • Build monitoring for infrastructure resources and proactively identify bottlenecks and advise or implement remediation steps.
  • Manage deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting services, databases, cloud infrastructure.
  • Keen eye for automation and improving efficiency.
  • Research and collaborate with the platform development team on Cloud infrastructure components.
  • Take ownership of internal tools which are a combination of Jira & Confluence.


  • System Administration (CentOS and RHEL)
  • AWS certified
  • Scripting and language skills (Ruby/ Python/ Bash/ Java)
  • Automated environment build tooling (Terraform for Infra as code)
  • Databases (Oracle/ PL-SQL/ SQL server etc)
  • Containerization (docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes/RedHat OpenShift/Fargate)

Who you’ll work with

You’ll be working closely with the Head Of DevOps in transitioning this customer into a fully cloud native environment.

1. Submit your CV

This is the really easy part. Attach your CV to an email and send us a message! Feel free to include anything that will inform, educate or entertain us too!

2. We’ll call you

Our Recruitment Team is now on the case. We’ll be in touch within 24 hours for a short call (about 20 mins) to discuss you, the role and what you want to do in the future.

3. First interview

Within 48 hours of the initial call we move to the Interview phase. The first is with one of our Heads, it’ll be a call, video chat or a face-to-face. We’ll dive deeper into your suitability for the role and get into a few more specifics. This will typically last 45mins to an hour.

4. Final Interview

The final interview will be at our Central London office, for this the Head of your team will be joined by one of our Founders. We’ll look to see how you’ll fit in with the Daemon Team, this will include covering the role in depth and more on the Daemon culture, values and vision for the future.

5. Offer/Feedback

We make a commitment to come back to you within 24 hours after your final interview. This will be with an offer to join the team or detailed feedback as to why you weren’t successful this time.
