As a member of the Dae.mn Engineering team, you’ll be looking to win work on exciting,challenging and rewarding projects in friendly, high performing teams with some famous brands.You’ll develop personally and professionally, and you can do so knowing you’ll have some of the smartest consultants around to deliver the projects

What we need

We are looking for a Principal level Consultant with a strong background in software engineering working with 1 or more programming languages. You will be comfortable leading teams from a technical perspective and are comfortable holding conversations up to and including C-Level. We need someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment where you’re potentially overseeing more than one project, acting as the technical oversight for those projects.

About you

You’re an excellent oral and written communicator comfortable working with senior and C-level stakeholders. You lead by example in being pragmatic, productive but also creative. You have what it takes to motivate teams of all sizes and manage development plans for self and others, knowing areas to focus on to progress. You actively shape/own a domain community whether that’s blogging, events or webinars. You have an entrepreneurial mindset that means you look for opportunities wherever you think there is value and you always take pride in the high level of quality you bring to all delivery.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:

  • Assisting clients create Software & Cloud based Solutions
  • Help define best practices on implementation for Engineering projects
  • Define work packages and plan for success
  • Communication of complex technical problems in simple terms
  • Lead Engineering team to deliver the engagements to clients
  • Support the sales team with technical conversations to land future opportunities

You will be reporting to our Head of Engineering.

Experience

  • Experience implementing software solutions for clients
  • Consultancy experience demonstrating exceptional communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management at all levels
  • Experience implementing development projects in production
  • Experience managing a team of mid to senior engineers

Tooling and Tech

You can show good knowledge and skills using these:

  • AWS, Azure, GCP (1 or a combination of)
  • A strong understanding of Agile best practices
  • A strong understanding of development lifecycle best practices
  • A strong understanding/experience of Java
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and projects
  • Containerisation
  • DevOps practices
  • Spring Boot Framework

Who you’ll work with

Internally, you’ll be assigned a mentee, whom you can help develop with your experience. On projects, you’ll be working with Senior Consultants and Consultants helping you deliver solutions to our clients.

  1. 1. Submit your CV

    This is the really easy part. Attach your CV to an email and send us a message! Feel free to include anything that will inform, educate or entertain us too!

  2. 2. We’ll call you

    Our Recruitment Team is now on the case. We’ll be in touch within 24 hours for a short call (about 20 mins) to discuss you, the role and what you want to do in the future.

  3. 3. First interview

    Within 48 hours of the initial call we move to the Interview phase. The first is with one of our Heads, it’ll be a call, video chat or a face-to-face. We’ll dive deeper into your suitability for the role and get into a few more specifics. This will typically last 45mins to an hour.

  4. 4. Final Interview

    The final interview will be at our Central London office, for this the Head of your team will be joined by one of our Founders. We’ll look to see how you’ll fit in with the Daemon Team, this will include covering the role in depth and more on the Daemon culture, values and vision for the future.

  5. 5. Offer/Feedback

    We make a commitment to come back to you within 24 hours after your final interview. This will be with an offer to join the team or detailed feedback as to why you weren’t successful this time.
